ترتيب الكلمات في السؤال
Questions: is it...? have you...? do they...?
في كل الأزمنة، سر السؤال واحد: الفعل المساعد يأتي قبل الفاعل. You have been ← Have you been? وإذا لم يوجد مساعد، نضيف do أو does أو did.

القاعدة: (كلمة سؤال) + فعل مساعد + الفاعل + باقي الفعل.

بدون مساعد (مضارع بسيط وماضٍ بسيط) نضيف do/does/did:
- You live in Najaf. ← Where do you live?
- He works here. ← Does he work here?
- They arrived late. ← Why did they arrive late?
السؤال المنفي (لإظهار الدهشة): Why didn't you call me? Isn't she coming? Don't you like it?
خطأ شائع: ✘ Where you live? ✘ What you are doing? ✔ Where do you live? What are you doing?
